Addie Johnson had 13 assists one ace and nine digs as Marengo defeated Richmond-Burton, 25-21, 17-25, 25-14, in their Kishwaukee River Conference volleyball match Wednesday at Homer “Bill” Barry Gymnasium.
Marengo (9-16, 2-7 KRC) lost earlier in the season to R-B (11-15, 6-3) in straight sets. The Indians’ victory helped Woodstock North, a two-set winner over Johnsburg, clinch its second KRC outright title.
Bella Simonini and Tess Volkers led the Indians with four kills each. Mia Lulinski added three kills, Gianna Almeida had 12 digs, two aces, one kill and one block. Courtney Jasinski contributed with eight digs and Allie Brackmann added six digs.
Woodstock 2, Harvard 0: At Woodstock, the Blue Streaks (13-9, 6-3) defeated the Hornets (3-21, 0-9) 25-15, 25-15 in their KRC match.
Asha Billstrand led Harvard with three kills and seven digs. Mindy Krasinski, Jillian Cooke and Abby Perkins each had three digs, and Krasinski and Emma Finfrock recorded two assists apiece.
West Chicago 2, Hampshire 1: At West Chicago, the Whip-Purs (14-17) got 17 kills from Jacey Lambert in their nonconference loss to the Wildcats, 25-23, 20-25, 25-19.
Gabi Peter had six kills and two blocks, Makena Hoberg added three kills and Ainsley Dowling served two aces and gave the Wildcats trouble with several other serves.

McHenry County College 3, Morton 0: At Crystal Lake, Hannah Baudin had 24 assists, five aces and two blocks as the Scots (18-8, 5-1) defeated the Panthers in their Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference match 25-12, 25-15, 15-13.
