The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office asked motorists to avoid the area of Cary Algonquin Road at Klasen Road following a traffic accident Friday.

The notice, pushed to residents through the sheriff’s office app and other social media sites just before 11 a.m., said intersections near the accident site would be closed and to avoid the area until further notice.

The Cary Fire Protection District also posted to its Facebook page that it is working a serious crash in the area and that details would be shared when available.
