The eastbound lanes of Route 14 near the intersection of Route 31 in Crystal Lake were blocked off due to a car crash Monday afternoon, officials said.

Emergency crews were on-site, and officials asked drivers to use alternate routes to avoid delays, according to an alert sent out by the city of Crystal Lake at 4:02 p.m. Monday.
