Roundup: Payge Pyszka’s 5-inning perfect game leads St. Bede softball over Hall

Payge Pyszka tossed a five-inning perfect game Monday to lead the St. Bede softball team to a 10-0, five-inning victory over Hall in Three Rivers Conference East Division action in Peru.

Pyszka struck out seven batters.

Ryann Stoudt went 3 for 3, blasted a home run, drove in a run and scored twice; Ella Hermes was 3 for 3 with two RBIs and a run; and Bella Pinter went 2 for 3 with a pair of runs and an RBI.

GIRLS SOCCER

La Salle-Peru 2, Mendota 2: The Cavaliers and Trojans played to a draw Monday in Mendota.

Brooke Schiffbauer scored two goals for the Cavs. Abigail Poole and Danica Scoma each had an assist.

Selina Hernandez scored both goals for MHS – both coming on assists from Isabella Tolentino.

Naitzy Garcia made five saves for the Trojans.

BASEBALL

Dunlap 2, Fieldcrest 0: Tim Luckey threw a complete game, allowing two unearned runs on two hits while striking out 11 batters and walking none in a nonconference loss Monday in Dunlap.

Clayton Shirley had the only hit for the Knights (1-3).
