Joseph B. Frackowiak, 23, of Peru, was charged with criminal damage to property at 9:27 p.m. Thursday at E&B Tobacco and Liquor, 558 Third St., La Salle police said.
Ariel A. Shaver, 20, of Ottawa, was picked up on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear (retail theft) Thursday at 102 W. Etna Road, Ottawa police said.
Donald T. Dorsey, 44, of La Salle, was picked up on a Macon County warrant for resisting and was charged with obstructing identification, no insurance and driving while suspended at 12:11 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 6 near East 13th Road in Ottawa Township, La Salle County Sheriff’s Office said.
Mason E. Erschen, 28, of Streator, was charged with speeding (85 mph in a 55-mph zone), obstructing/resisting a peace officer, endangering the life/health of a child, driving while license suspended and picked up on a Livingston County warrant for domestic battery at 6:38 p.m. Thursday on Route 23 near North 2350th Road in Grand Rapids Township, La Salle County Sheriff’s Office said.
District 17 state police in La Salle announced a series of specialty patrols to be conducted in August in La Salle County. State police will conduct occupant restraint enforcement patrols to enforce the use of seat belts. Troopers also will conduct distracted driving enforcement patrols to halt the use of electronic devices, a growing source of serious crashes and vehicular deaths.
