• Richard Agustine Navarro, 30, of Ottawa, was arrested Tuesday at State Street and Willard Avenue on complaints of unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm without a firearm owners identification card, possession of firearm ammunition without a FOID card, possession of recreational marijuana in a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, Ottawa police said.
• Destiny V. Orozco, 19, of Mendota, was cited Tuesday at West Norris Drive and Poplar Street on complaints of driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, Ottawa police said.
• Mauricio A. Carreon, 19, of Spring Valley, was charged with driving while suspended and possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle at 7:16 p.m. Monday at 13th Avenue and Meriden Street, Mendota police said.
• Timothy J. Low, 26, of Malden, was charged with no valid driver’s license at 11:24 p.m. Monday at 13th Avenue and Monroe Street, Mendota police said.
Fire calls
• At 2:07 p.m. Wednesday, Streator firefighters responded to 204 E. Grant St. where a semi had taken down utility wires. Firefighters stood by until ComEd arrived on scene.
• Ottawa firefighters responded 3:48 a.m. Wednesday to 900 Paul St. for an alarm activated by cooking odors.
• At 10:11 p.m. Tuesday, Ottawa firefighters responded to 722 Grafton St. for an activated detector. Firefighters determined that the detector was reaching the end of its life and needed to be replaced.
• Ottawa firefighters responded 8:59 p.m. Tuesday to 906 Canal St. for an alarm activated by cooking odors.
