West Madison Street sewer repairs scheduled Thursday in Ottawa

Work may reduce traffic to one lane

The city of Ottawa grew by 72 residents, even as the county population tumbled nearly 4% over the past 10 years.

Contractors will be making a sewer repair beginning 7 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, in the 600 block of West Madison Street between Chestnut and Clay streets in Ottawa.

If work in the parking lane requires excavating further into the street, the street may be reduced to one lane for through traffic. Those needing to travel in that block should use caution and obey the flagger’s signals.
