Bard Optical in Peru hosts toy drive for Salvation Army

Drive will take place until Dec. 20

The Salvation Army and Bard Optical are joining forces for local children in need this Christmas.

Bard Optical locations throughout Central Illinois, including the Bard Optical, 3323 Frontage Road in Peru, will host a toy drive for The Salvation Army. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at any Bard Optical from now until Monday, Dec. 20.

“Bard Optical is so very proud to partner with the Salvation Army to collect toys for kids in need in Central Illinois,” said Diana Hall, president of Bard Optical. “Whether you are a patient of Bard Optical or not, we hope you will drop off a toy to support this important Salvation Army effort to make the holidays special for kids in our area.”

Toys collected at Peru’s Bard Optical will be distributed to the Salvation Army in Ottawa, which serves northern La Salle County, including La Salle, Peru and Ottawa.

Last year, The Salvation Army was able to provide more than 22,000 toys to nearly 3,000 families with children throughout Central Illinois.
