Streator Leading Ladies seek new members

The Streator Leading Ladies will host its second monthly meeting 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at Chippers Grill, 1733 N. Bloomington St. Any woman interested in philanthropic work in Streator is invited to join.

Interested volunteers will sign up for the various committees including: scholarship committee, philanthropic committee, finance committee and public relations. Projects include helping with the Streator Unlimited Food for Thought on Nov. 6,  and manning the Kringle table for the Holiday Market on Nov. 27 and Salvation Army bell ringing. The organization’s main fundraising project to fund scholarships and philanthropies will be selling Kringles.
