Passengers will visit Ottawa

The American Countess paddle steamer passes by Henry on Saturday. The boat is making its way up the Illinois River on a nine-day cruise that departed Memphis, Tenn. and will disembark Monday in Ottawa. Passengers have the choice to “hop on and hop off” Monday throughout the downtown area to experience local shopping, dining and sightseeing.

The boat was built in 2020. It is 318 feet in length and 79 foot wide. It holds 245 passengers, 110 crew members and has 123 cabins. The boat will makes its way downstream back to Memphis beginning Monday.
