A La Salle County grand jury has indicted a Lake Barrington man accused of an April drug delivery that resulted in a fatal overdose in Marseilles.
Brian K. Mulcahy, 55, was indicted Tuesday on one count of drug-induced homicide, a Class X felony carrying 6-30 years and no possibility of probation. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bond.
Details still are emerging, but court records allege on April 18 he delivered an unspecified controlled substance containing fentanyl to an individual identified only as “C.J.M.” The boy inhaled a portion of the substance and died. Marseilles police said the boy who died was 15.
