PONTIAC — Icy road conditions on Route 47 caused a crash between a semi and a car on Friday evening that claimed the life of an Aurora woman, a news release issued by the Livingston County coroner said.

Laurette B. Tillman of Aurora, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene by the county’s deputy coroner, Jay Mitchell.

The woman had been ejected from the vehicle upon impact.

The crash took place on Route 47 just south of 1500 North Road. The crash was reported to 911 dispatch at 7:35 p.m.

The deputy coroner ordered an autopsy and the crash remains under investigation. An accident reconstruction team with the Illinois State Police is also investigating.
