Hudson Stafford scored a game-high 20 points, Braxton Hart had 13, and both Camden Figgins and Carson Baker added 10 for the victorious Huskers, who saw a baker’s dozen of players score in the victory.
Kaneland 64, Sandwich 39: At Maple Park, the visiting Indians (1-16 overall, 0-7 Interstate Eight) were defeated despite eight points each from Saulo Rodriguez, Chris Sommers and Chance Lange (five rebounds).
El Paso-Gridley 61, Fieldcrest 28: In Heart of Illinois Conference play, the Titans dealt the Knights the convincing defeat.

Seneca currently 2nd in Comet Classic: After one day at the two-day Reed-Custer Comet Classic, Seneca sits in second place through the quarterfinals — a half point behind the host Comets — with six Fighting Irish grapplers set for the semifinals Saturday.
Jaden Casey (120 pounds) is one of those six after recording his 100th career varsity victory. The other five Seneca semifinalists include Chris Peura (195), Asher Hamby (152), Owen Feiner (145), Robby Nelson (132) and Kyler Hahn (106).
JV/sophomore boys basketball
Marquette 50, Seneca 25: At Bader Gym, the Crusaders led 26-5 at the half. Pete McGrath netted 11 points, Charlie Mullen nine, and Carson Zellers and Denver Trainor eight each for MA.
Dalton Degrush led the Irish with six points.
