MORRIS – Hundreds of children and their parents were on hand Saturday at state Rep. David Welter’s Outdoor Kids’ Safety Expo.
Among the attractions were several vehicles from local agencies for a Touch-A-Truck event, including a LifeStar helicopter. Also, more than 30 local agencies, including Morris Hospital, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office and the Morris Police Department, were available to offer safety tips for the kids and their families. There was free popcorn, and Donna Mueller’s School of Dance, Dave DiNasso’s Traveling World of Reptiles, Chang Lee Taekwon Martial Arts and the Grundy County Sheriff K-9 Unit performed shows.
