The National Weather Service has issued a severe storm warning for northern Grundy County and the southern half of Kendall County, set to expire at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.
The storm could bring half-dollar-size hail and 50 mph wind gusts.
It is expected to impact Joliet, Plainfield, Channahon, Minooka, Lisbon, and Plattville.
