Officer Scott Evans named Morris Police Officer of the Year

Officer Scott Evans receives his Officer of the Year award from Police Chief Alicia Steffes on Monday, Feb. 17, 2026.

The Morris Police Department announced that Officer Scott Evans was named the Officer of the Year.

Evans spends most of his time at Morris Community High School, where he works as the school resource officer.

He has been a school resource officer since 2017.

The Morris Police Department also announced the hiring of new officer Marshall Holt. Holt is originally from Shorewood, and he’s a graduate of the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy at the College of DuPage.
