The Coal City Police Department said in a statement on its Facebook page Wednesday that the 800 block of Division Street was closed briefly Wednesday morning to allow the Grundy county REACT team to serve a search warrant.
Police said Thursday that David A. Hietschold, Jr., 46, was arrested and taken into custody. He was charged with three counts of criminal sexual assault and one count of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.
Division Street was shut down in both directions for the safety of both the public and the responding agencies, police said.
Police carried out the warrant and the road was reopened about 20 minutes later.
Police said there is no threat or danger to the public.
