GRAYSLAKE – Myrtle says, “You can usually find me relaxing, calm and collected, watching all the activity in the main cat room.
“If I see you coming toward me, I get up, sit still and wait patiently for you to introduce yourself, and by that I mean getting some petting and loving. I am a very sweet and affectionate cat that purrs a lot and enjoys being carried around. I am a young senior cat ready to fill your heart with love and your home with purrs.”
Myrtle is about 10 years old, spayed, up to date on routine shots (including rabies), tested negative for feline leukemia, heartworm and FIV and microchipped.
November is “Elder Love” month at Save-A-Pet, which means her adoption fee is 50% off (this applies to cats 10 years and older and dogs 8 years and older). The regular adoption procedures apply, and the $12 rabies tag/registration fee will be charged for all Lake County residents.
Meetings and adoptions are by appointment only (no walk-ins). For information and/or to complete an online application, visit www.saveapetil.org/adopt.
