Thank you for every one of your 1,312 votes in my first run for Oswego trustee. I appreciate all of you who voted for me. Next time, let a friend or family member know of your faith in me to double that number.
The experience I gained and all the wonderful people I met made it a worthwhile endeavor. If you agree with my reasons for running and you’d like to join me next time, I welcome you.
If needed, I urge you to register to vote before the next election. Your voice is not heard if you don’t vote. We have low voter turnout for municipal elections and we need to turn that around.
Congratulations and best of luck to all candidates who won. Let’s also win the battle against COVID-19 to get our children back in school safely. I am fully vaccinated thanks to the advice from the Oswego Senior Center to sign up through the professional and efficient Kendall County Health Department. I still wear a mask, knowing the fight against the virus isn’t over.
