Dayton recruit Hannah Herrick threw down 22 kills, powering fifth-seeded Oswego past fourth-seeded Neuqua Valley 25-13, 25-15 in the Class 4A Plainfield South Regional final for the Panthers' third straight regional championship.

Teyha Knapp had two kills early in the third set and two more to set up match point, as Yorkville – following a familiar theme – rallied past Oswego East in the deciding third set for a 25-21, 16-25, 25-22 win in the Class 4A Oswego East Regional semifinal.

Sophomore Lindey Balsano and Plainfield North turned away three Yorkville match points in the second set, twice on Balsano kills, and Balsano took over in the third set with six kills as the Tigers rallied past the visiting Foxes in the Southwest Prairie Conference season finale.
