Softball: Yorkville’s Madi Reeves leads six area Illinois Coaches Association All-State picks

Yorkville sophomore pitcher Madi Reeves, who led the Foxes to their first-ever sectional title, was among area players to earn All-State honors by the Illinois Coaches Association on Monday.

Reeves was one of 18 girls statewide named to the Class 4A First Team All-State team. Oswego East senior outfielder Megan Leonard was named Class 4A Second Team All-State. Oswego East junior catcher Morgan Robertson was named Class 3A Third Team All-State. Plano senior shortstop Grace Stevenson was named Class 3A Second Team All-State. Newark catcher Emily Schofield and pitcher/infielder Kaitlyn Schofield was named Class 1A Third Team All-State.
