• Linda L. Pluciennik, 66, of the 400 block of Catalpa Avenue, Wood Dale, was charged May 18 with driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.08% and improper lane use.
• James E. Tripi, 36, of the 0-99 block of Trail Ridge Court, Streamwood, was arrested May 19 on a Batavia warrant for two misdemeanor charges of domestic battery.
• Hayden J. Hogan, 26, homeless, was arrested May 19 on a Batavia warrant for two misdemeanor charges of aggravated assault.
• A resident of the 6N300 block of Prairie Valley Drive, St. Charles Township, reported that she was defrauded of $398.75 on May 8. The resident told deputies that she received a call from someone purporting to be from ComEd advising that her electricity would be shut off if she did not pay a past due bill immediately. • Joseph E. Roberts, 42, of the 900 block of Independence Avenue, St. Charles, was charged May 23 with driving under the influence, improper lane use and driving without insurance.
• Cash in the amount of $560 was reported stolen May 20 from a car and on May 21, a set of keys from another car, both parked in the lot at Andre’s Restaurant, 5 Webster Street, Batavia.
• The Batavia Fire Department put out a smoldering mulch pile at 4:38 a.m. May 21 behind Pier 1 Imports, 481 N. Randall Road.
• Cash in the amount of $20 was reported stolen May 13 from a car parked in the 1200 block of Nary Court.
• A mountain bike valued at $250 was reported stolen May 10 from the 700 block of North Avenue.
