The Batavia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is accepting applications to serve on the board for a three-year term beginning Sept. 1. Applications will be accepted through Friday, April 22.
According to a news release from the Chamber, the position provides an excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate in good standing with the Chamber to join the board, serve the community and help lead the organization.
Members of the Board of Directors serve as community leaders committed to the Batavia Chamber of Commerce’s growth and success. The board meets from 8 to 9:15 a.m. on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Rosalie Jones School Administration Building, 335 W. Wilson St.
Attendance at meetings is mandatory with minimal excused absences allowed. Each board member is asked to volunteer on at least one committee to provide additional support to the Chamber. Participation at activities and events is expected. Attendance, sponsorship and a raffle donation at signature events is requested.
Candidates will be selected by the nominating committee from the nomination letters received. A full orientation to the position will be provided upon vote and approval from current board members.
