A water main break is causing some traffic headaches along Main Street in St. Charles.

The water main break occurred at 1705 W. Main Street on Friday morning.

Traffic along Main Street in the area is currently reduced from two lanes to one.

The city expects all repairs to be completed by Friday evening, according to a city post.

City workers are still assessing the full extent of the needed repairs.

The city said they will continue providing updates as the repairs get underway.
