As approved, the section of Walnut Avenue between Riverside and Second avenues are closed to street traffic from April 15 to Oct. 31.

A “premium national grocer” is set to fill the vacant Blue Goose Market in downtown St. Charles, and City Council members voted to give the grocery store developers up to $2.6 million in tax rebates at Monday night’s meeting.

St. Charles City Council is set to approve an economic incentive agreement that would pay up to $2.6 million in tax rebates to new developers of the former Blue Goose Market. The name of the new grocer has not yet been revealed.

The commission members were appointed by Mayor Lora Vitek and approved by City Council in a unanimous vote without discussion at Monday night's meeting.
