Girls Cross Country: Five runners to watch in the Kane County Chronicle coverage area

Dalall, took fifth in conference and 12th at regionals last year and will be counted on to lead a younger Knights team.

Kester, who was fifth in regionals and qualified for the 3200 relay in spring this past spring, should headline the Rockets this season.

Price earned second at regionals and third in conference last year. She’s typically been a top three runner for the North Stars and that should continue.

Sandlund took sixth at conference, fourth in regionals and ninth at sectionals. Watch her be a top finisher for the Saints.

At this point, Schlenker is a household name for distance runners in the state. As the returning Kane County Chronicle Cross Country athlete of the year, expect another championship caliber season.
