BOYS BASKETBALL

LaMoille 82, IMSA 72: Tyler Billhorn poured in 32 points to go along with 11 rebounds and eight assists to lead the No. 10-seeded Lions to a victory over the No. 7 Titans in the first round of the Little Ten Conference Tournament in Somonauk.

Brayden Klein had 17 points, five assists and three rebounds. Connor Deering added 10 points, three rebounds and two steals for LaMoille, which advances to play No. 2 Newark at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Earlville 48, DePue 41: The No. 6-seeded Red Raiders beat the No. 11 Little Giants in the first round of the Little Ten Conference Tournament in Somonauk.

Earlville moves on to play No. 3 Indian Creek at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Sherrard 62, Bureau Valley 49: Landon Hulsing scored 16 points as the Storm lost a nonconference game in Sherrard.

Landon Birdsley contributed 11 points for BV (14-9).

GIRLS BOWLING

At Rockford: La Salle-Peru racked up 5,513 pins Saturday to place fourth at Belvidere’s Buccaneer Invite at Cherry Bowl.

Hononegah won with 5,737 pins followed by Harlem (5,696), Huntley (5,658) and the Cavs.

Junior Kamryn Oscepinski led the Cavs as she placed fourth with a 1,214 six-game series. She rolled her first career 300 game in the final game of the day.

Also for L-P, Anna Ricci placed 14th with a 1,127, Camryn Perra finished 17th with a 1,102, Kaitlyn Miller was 31st with a 1,041 and Kailey Harper was 34th with a 1,029.

At Dixon: Hall-Putnam County (3,530) and Mendota (2,957) placed 17th and 20th at the Dixon Invitational at Plum Hollow Lanes.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Princeton 45, Sherrard 35: Camryn Driscoll had 19 points, six rebounds and four steals to help the Tigresses to a Three Rivers Conference crossover victory in Princeton.

Keighley Davis had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds along with two assists and two steals for Princeton, while Payton Brandt contributed six points, six rebounds and three steals.

Roanoke-Benson 61, Fieldcrest 52: Macy Gochanour scored 21 points as the Knights lost a nonconference game in Roanoke.

TeriLynn Timmerman had 15 points for Fieldcrest (13-11), while Pru Mangan added 14 points.

WRESTLING

At Melrose Park: St. Bede placed second among six teams in the Chicagoland Prairie Conference duals at Walther Christian.

The Bruins went 4-1, defeating Walther Christian (54-24), Westmont (50-18), Dwight (58-5) and Marquette (42-30) and losing to champion Seneca (64-18).

Max Moreno (126 pounds) and Jordan Coventry (157) each won three contested matches for the Bruins, as each recorded three pins.

Jameson Daley (106), Mike Benge (113), Jack Maschmann (175), Garrett Connelly (190) and Willy Sramek (215) each won two matches.
