If you take a look around Mendota, you’ll see a fair share of road signs urging motorists to start seeing motorcycles.
The Mendota City Council took the next step and proclaimed May “Motorcycle Awareness Month” through an A Brotherhood Aimed Toward Education proclamation.
ABATE proclamations made by the Council must be renewed every year.
“This has been a yearly thing for going on probably the 25-26 years I’ve been doing the job,” Mendota Mayor David Boelk said. “It’s pretty important to us.”
