Streator High School on Wednesday gave the incoming freshman class a preview of what to look forward to in their high school education.

The evening started with a welcome to the Class of 2029 in the auditorium from Superintendent Scott Cameron. The event continued with introductions of educational staff by Principal Amy Jo Lotshaw and student government representative Jenna Onasch, who spoke on “how to be successful in high school,” while other administration spoke on behalf of the activities and expectations of high school.

Tiffany Park, along with her journalism/social media students, presented a video that gave a visual idea of what it will be like to be a student at SHS.

After the presentations, the students along with their families were given the opportunity to visit 20 tables from various clubs and organizations that are offered throughout the school in the Pops Dale Gym. Tours of the Streator Township High School facilities also were available.
