The second week of the IHSA AP Basketball Polls were released Wednesday, with four area boys and girls teams earning the distinction of being state-ranked

The IHSA board of directors announced Monday it will change it’s two-year classification cycle to one year a little over a week after a lopsided football championship weekend led to outcry from the public and its members schools.

Kankakee is the lone school in the area to see its boys and girls teams both in the top 10

The Boilers improved to 5-0 while the Panthers dropped to 1-4.
