Vehicle crashes into Kankakee River

A vehicle crashed into the Kankakee River at approximately 11 a.m. Thursday, according to Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police.

It is believed the driver was uninjured.

The vehicle entered the water near 800 North Eagle Island Road. Deputies were able to get the driver out of the vehicle. The vehicle was later towed, police said.

No further information was available.
