The second week of the IHSA AP Basketball Polls were released Wednesday, with four area boys and girls teams earning the distinction of being state-ranked.
On the boys side, Kankakee (3-1) kept its No. 6 spot in Class 3A. Bishop McNamara (7-0) received votes in Class 2A for the second time in as many weeks. Bradley-Bourbonnais (6-1) fell out of the receiving votes category in Class 4A after a 72-38 loss Tuesday night to 4A No. 2 Homewood-Flossmoor.
In girls action, McNamara (7-1) fell three spots to No. 7 in Class 2A, two spots ahead of Watseka (8-1), who went from eighth to ninth. In Class 1A, Cissna Park (8-1) slid a spot from third to fourth. Kankakee (6-2) received votes in Class 3A after a 1-2 week, dropping out of the top 10.
