SYCAMORE – Downtown Sycamore’s holiday season kickoff returns Friday with Moonlight Magic, a family friendly event featuring local businesses, live window displays and a special visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Shoppers looking to soak up some holiday spirit, beat the Black Friday crowds or enjoy some family entertainment are encouraged to take a stroll downtown Friday. Stores will be open late for Moonlight Magic, an event put on by Discover Sycamore through the Sycamore Chamber of Commerce.

Businesses will offer special deals for the season and live window displays from 6 to 8 p.m. featuring local fine arts, theater and dance groups to entertain holiday shoppers.

“This is our official kick off for the holiday season in downtown Sycamore,” said RoseMarie Treml, executive director of the Sycamore Chamber of Commerce. “It’s great to see families continuing the tradition of shopping together during this event. It’s about supporting our local economy and having fun with friends and family.”

Live holiday windows and fabulous sales will be featured in the following businesses: Rustic Roots, Gallery On State, Sycamore Antiques, Christian Connection, Lizzy’s Pink Boutique, Luxe Salon, Made Just for You, Kramer’s Kitchen and Bath, M.C. Beauty, Paulsen Appliance, Rustic Roots, The Forge of Sycamore and more.
