DeKalb library tax aid program begins Feb. 8

DeKalb program to help income-qualifying people do their taxes

DeKALB – The DeKalb Public Library will partner with AARP Foundation Tax-Aide to host a program for patrons to receive tax return assistance.

The program will be from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays from Feb. 8 through April 12 at the library, 309 Oak St.

The free program is intended for people with a low to moderate income.

Participants must bring a photo ID, necessary tax documents and last year’s return forms. To view a list of documents, visit aarp.org. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers will be available. Appointments are required to attend. To schedule an appointment, call 815-991-9418.
