Peyton Hammerich, a sophomore from Princeton, was one of seven Central College wrestlers were named as a National Wrestling Coaches Association Scholar All-American.
To qualify for the award, a wrestler must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. The wrestler also had to, in the coach’s professional judgment, have potential to place in the top eight at an NCAA Division III Central Regional or win 67 percent of their matches in a normal season.
Hammerich went 4-6 for the Dutch this season, including two falls.
Central finished the abbreviated season 5-3 and placed fourth in the league standings.
