Senior Spotlight>Libby Boyles (Princeton High School)

Princeton High School senior Libby Boyles

School: Princeton High School

Date/Place of birth: May 14, 2004 at St. Margaret’s.

Hometown: I lived in Wyanet until 4th grade when I moved to Princeton.

Family: Gina (mom) and Dennis (dad), Braden Boyles (brother), Drew Foes (brother) and Taylor Foes (sister-in-law).

Sports/Activities: Volleyball, softball, poms, class treasurer, yearbook.

Nicknames: Elizabeth is my real name, but everyone calls me Libby.

Favorite Sport and why: I like all my sports for different reasons. I love volleyball, because my Mimi (Emy Prokes) was a good volleyball player and she loves to watch me play. Learning how to play softball was a fun way to spend time with my dad and brother, because they were big into baseball. Aand my mom used to do ooms when she was in high school so when I started poms in 7th grade, she was super excited. I just don’t think I could pick a favorite sport because each one of them brought different girls into my life that are now my lifelong friends.

Favorite food and where to get it: My mom makes the best pork hops and rice.

Likes: Pasta, getting my nails done, shopping.

Dislikes: Pickles, breaking a nail, losing.

Person(s) that had the greatest influence on my athletic career: My parents both got me involved in sports at a young age, allowing me a head start to learn and grow and make memories I could take with me throughout my career.

Person who has had the greatest influence on my life: My mom. She has kept me disciplined and genuine. I’ve never met someone who works so hard at their job while always be compassionate and carrying positive energy.

Who is your dream celebrity prom date: Daniel Radcliffe.

If stranded on a deserted island, I would have my: Phone and my mom so she can cook for me

Last song I listened to: Landslide (Dixie Chicks cover).

People would be surprised to know: My real name is Elizabeth. I have not just one but TWO older brothers.

I stay home to watch: Harry Potter and Vampire Diaries.

When I need good luck for a game: Weirdly, I usually just listen to music or read my book. I’m not a huge on pep talks.

The funniest person I’ve ever met: Morgan Foes, hands down. She can make anything hilarious.

What they’ll say about me when I graduate: Hopefully good things ... probably that I was kinda just friends with everyone.

Most embarrassing moment: Jumping up from a power nap on the bus on the way to Newman for volleyball and remembering I left my uniform on my passengers seat.

Most unforgettable moment: My whole senior year volleyball season. I will always look back at the nostalgic memories because I grew up playing and growing with most of those girls.

Ultimate sports fantasy: To be able to play my senior season of volleyball over and over whenever I wanted.

Three words that best describe me: Straightforward, competitive, ilithiophobic.
