Octane 93 Brewery in St. Charles plans expansion

After opening its doors in the fall of 2019, Octane 93 Brewery in St. Charles is looking to expand.

Octane 93 Brewery, located at 1825 Lincoln Highway, proposes building a 500-square-foot addition and an outdoor patio area with a covered roof. The new addition and patio will be on the building’s west side.

The brewery sits on the same site as The PRIDE of St. Charles gas station and Urban Counter restaurant. The beers are sold in PRIDE stores.

“The intent of our expansion is to allow for additional brewing capacity equipment that we would include in the roughly 500-square-foot expansion,” said Daniel Soltis of Warrenville-based CIMA Developers Inc. “Things are starting to take off. A lot of our beers that are made on site, we distribute those beers to our PRIDE locations throughout the area.”

Fifth Ward Alderman Maureen Lewis liked that the plan includes an outdoor patio area, which will allow people to enjoy each other’s company while social distancing as the pandemic continues.

“I think the Fifth Ward, the west side, is in need of something like this, so that residents have a more local place that they can gather and be outdoors,” Lewis said. “So I appreciate what you’re doing, and I think it will look really nice.”
