Sally A. Eich, 82, of Mendota passed away May 10, 2016, in Paramount Senior Center, Pittsburgh, Pa.

A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. June 4 in Holy Cross Church, Mendota. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. A celebration of Sally’s life will follow the service at the Elks Club.

Sally A Gorman was born June 9, 1933, in Chicago to William (Bill) and Idamae Gorman. She married Glen Walter Eich (Whitey) on Nov. 30, 1957, in Mendota. Whitey preceded her in death in January 1995.

Sally worked at Mendota Community Hospital for more than 45 years. She was a compassionate nurse and exemplary nursing leader. Her passions were her family, traveling, ceramics and her beloved cats Ellie and Bandit. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Eich) Larkin of Colorado Springs, Colo.; William “Bill (Gloria) Eich of Fallbrook, Calif., Dennis Eich of Flowery Branch, Ga., and Julie Eich (Frank) Porreca of Pittsburgh, Pa.; grandchildren, Tyler Vincent of Flowery Branch, Ga., Kari Larkin of Reno, Nev., Tom Larkin of Colorado Springs, Katie Porreca of Pittsburgh, Selina Eich, Alexia Eich and Casey Eich of Fallbrook, Calif.; Chrissy Fazio of Pittsburgh; great-grandchildren Tim Yurkovich and Keylee and Camryn Fazio of Pittsburgh; and great-great-grandchild Cayden Yurkovich of Pittsburgh; siblings, Mary (Dean) Kuehl of Albuquerque, N.M., and William Gorman of Las Cruces, N.M.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister-in-law, a brother–in-law and many good friends.
