Students at D. 202 in Plainfield named College Board National Recognition Scholars

Six District 202 high school students have been named 2020 College Board National Recognition Program Scholars.

The honor is given to students based on scoring in the top 2.5% on the PSAT/NMSQT test among students who identify as one or more of the following: African American, Hispanic American or Latino, Indigenous, or attend school in a rural area, or are from a small town.

These District 202 seniors were named National Recognition Program Scholars:

• Kira Hoffman (Plainfield East High School), who identifies as African American

• Jade Price and Kemdilim Okoye (Plainfield High School – Central Campus), who identify as African American

• Enrique Sanchez (PHSCC), who identifies as Hispanic

• Nicholas Trapp (Plainfield North High School), who identifies as Indigenous American

• Francesca Gianakopoulos (PNHS), who identifies as Hispanic.

College Board CEO David Coleman congratulated these students in a letter.
