Police talk gangs, crime prevention at Boulder Hill Neighborhood Watch meeting

Inspector Bob Lechowicz helped to lead a presentation on gangs and gang violence at a Boulder Hill Neighborhood Watch meeting on Wednesday. Safety concerns have increased in recent weeks, due to two gang-related incidents that occurred in January. (Shea Lazansky)

Oswego Township Highway Commissioner Bob Rogerson discussed the township's initiative to increase lighting in the Boulder Hill area through the distribution of low-watt LED lightbulbs during a Neighborhood Watch meeting on Wednesday. Neighborhood Church of the Brethren, located in Boulder Hill, hosted the community meeting led by the Kendall County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday. The meeting was intended to educate the Boulder Hill community on the gang presence in the area, and what they can do to stay safe.
