Wallace's eighth-grade girls volleyballers survived a three-set battle, 25-21, 16-25, 25-18, with Waltham to win the Vermilion Valley Conference North Tournament championship, with Reese Burgwald (10 digs, eight kills), Olivia Evola (16 points, 10 assists) and Kendall Lowery (14 kills, 11 digs) among those leading the attack. The Marquette seventh-grade volleyball club claimed the Vermilion Grade School North Conference Tournament title with a 25-10, 25-13 victory over Milton Pope. Marquette was led by the likes of Avery Durdan (seven aces, five assists), Alyssa Zellers (seven aces, five digs), Maura Condon (five aces, two kills), Kealey Rick (two kills, four assists), Makayla Backos (two kills, four digs) and Aubrey Farrell (four digs).
