Plattville man arrested on predatory criminal sexual assault, pornography charges

The Kendall County State's Attorney's Office has charged a Plattville man with four counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and 11 counts of pornography, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office identified the suspect as Shane English, 37, of the 13000 block of Church Road, Plattville, in Lisbon Township, in a Friday, Oct. 16 press release.

All of the charges against English are Class X felonies.

The Sheriff's Office said deputies took English into custody without incident and he is being held at the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville pending a bond call Oct. 17.

The Sheriff's Office said they received information Oct. 14 based on a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and initiated a criminal investigation that led to English's arrest on Friday.

Sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant at the suspect's residence Oct. 15 in which they they collected evidence, according to the Sheriff's Office. The evidence collected led to the Sheriff's Office executing a second search warrant at the residence Oct. 16..
