Sauk Valley has 27 new COVID-19 cases Friday

Whiteside County had 10 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, as well as nine recoveries. The new cases involve four people in their 50s, two in their 70s, two over 80 and a person in their 30s and one in their 40s. This marks the third day in a row of 10 or more new cases in Whiteside County.

Lee County had six new cases on Friday, three inmates at Dixon Correctional Center as well as two people in their 20s and one in their 60s. In addition, three Lee County residents have recovered and been lifted off of isolation.

Ogle County reported eight new cases on Friday. Carroll County had three new cases on Friday, two of those involving people in their 50s and one involving a person in their 80s.

Whiteside County has had 694 cases and 20 deaths. Lee County has had 318 cases, 264 recoveries and one death. Ogle County has had 629 cases, 551 recoveries and six deaths. Carroll County has had 214 cases and four deaths.

Illinois announced 2,120 new cases and 20 COVID-related deaths on Friday. The state has had 270,327 cases and 8,411 deaths.

Sterling has had 3,210 tests and 249 positive cases. Rock Falls has had 1,709 tests and 121 cases. Dixon has had 4,749 tests and 231 cases. Rochelle has had 3,168 tests and 290 cases.
