The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 1,028 cases of coronavirus and 168 deaths as of Friday afternoon at 36 facilities in Kane County.
That represents an increase of 19 cases and two fewer deaths compared to July 17’s count of 1,009 cases and 170 deaths.
In some cases numbers were adjusted to reduce the number of deaths or cases when compared to previous weeks.
Deer Path of Huntley, 12500 Regency Pkwy, Huntley, which reported two cases no deaths last week was removed from the health department’s list this week.
It lists Tower Hill Health Care Center, 759 Kane St., South Elgin, with the highest number of deaths from the virus, 30, and the highest number of cases 164, according to the website, www.dph.illinois.gov.
While Bria of Geneva, at 1101 E. State St., Geneva, had 30 deaths listed last week, this week the number was reduced to 26 with 135 cases.
Symphony of Orchard Valley, 2330 W. Galena Blvd., Aurora, with 24 deaths and 115 confirmed cases.
The nursing homes with the next highest number of deaths was Asbury Gardens Nursing & Rehab, 212 Airport Road, North Aurora, with 19 deaths and 88 cases.
Citadel of Elgin, 180 S. State St., Elgin, reported 70 cases and nine deaths.
Fox River Rehab & Healthcare, 2355 Royal Blvd., Elgin, had 49 cases and 15 deaths.
Avondale Estates of Elgin Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 1760 Capital Street, Elgin, reported 34 cases and one death.
An assisted living facility, Bickford of Aurora, 7 S. Orchard Road, Aurora, had 29 reported cases and seven deaths.
Elmwood Terrace Healthcare Center, 1017 W. Galena Blvd., Aurora, reported 36 cases and six deaths.
The Grove of St. Charles, 611 Allen Lane, St. Charles reported 11 cases and two deaths.
Alden of Waterford Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, 2021 Randi Drive, Aurora, had 41 cases and 10 deaths, while Alden Courts of Waterford, 1991 Randi Drive, Aurora, had eight cases and no deaths.
Arden Courts of Geneva, 2388 Bricher Road, Geneva, had seven cases and two deaths.
Bright Oaks of Aurora, 1340 River St., Aurora, reported 15 cases and four deaths.
White Oaks at Heritage Woods of South Elgin, 700 N. McLean Blvd., South Elgin, reported five cases and one death.
Retirement community River Glen, 975 N. Fifth Ave., St. Charles reported six cases and no deaths.
A retirement and assisted living center, Sunnymere, 925 Sixth Ave., Aurora, reported 11 cases and no deaths.
A secure residential treatment facility for children, teens and young adults up to age 21, Northern Illinois Academy, 998 Corporate Blvd., Aurora, reported 13 cases and no deaths.
The Grove of Fox Valley, 1601 N. Farnsworth Ave., Aurora, reported seven cases and no deaths.
A retirement community, Presence Fox Knoll, 421 N. Lake St., Aurora, reported 13 cases and two deaths.
Riverview Rehab Center, 50 N, Jane Drive, Elgin, reported 13 cases and no deaths.
Batavia Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, 520 E. Fabyan Parkway, Batavia, reported 11 cases and two deaths.
Brighton Gardens of St. Charles, 600 Dunham Road, St. Charles reported three cases and one death.
The Sheridan at Tyler Creek, 508 N. McLean Blvd., Elgin reported six cases and no deaths.
Aperion Care Elgin, 134 N. McLean Blvd., Elgin, reported four cases and no deaths.
GreenFields of Geneva, 0N801 Friendship Way, Blackberry Township, had six cases and no deaths.
Highland Oaks, 2750 W. Highland Ave., Elgin, reported five cases and no deaths.
