Prairie Point Park splash pad in Oswego to reopen Monday

Limited on patrons, social distancing rules will be in place

The popular splash pad at the Oswegland Park District's Prairie Point Park at 4120 Plainfield Road in Oswego will reopen to the public next Monday, July 6, the agency has announced.

In a post on the agency's Facebook page, officials announced the splash pad will operate in accordance with the Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

Those guidelines include a limit of 50 patrons at a time and social distancing must be practiced at all times.

The splash pad will be staffed to monitor capacity and sanitize equipment between splash times. Everyone must exit during breaks for facility cleaning/disinfecting. The splash pad remains free to use.

General daily splash times are as follows: 10–11:45 a.m., noon–1:45 p.m., 2–3:45 p.m., 4–5:45 p.m., 6–7:45 p.m.

Meanwhile, the park district's Civic Center Aquatic Park in Oswego and the Winrock Park Pool in Boulder Hill will remain closed for the summer due to the pandemic.
