GENEVA – uBreakiFix in Geneva, along with locations across the country, are teaming up with Samsung and Google to offer free repairs on Samsung and Google Pixel smartphones for all healthcare workers and first responders, according to a news release.
The release states that frontline heroes eligible for this program include first responders, law enforcement officers, emergency medical technicians, firefighters, doctors, nurses, pharmacists and hospital staff.
“We are grateful for the sacrifices these individuals are making, and it is an honor for us to be able to give back in this way,” stated Jeff Schwartz, franchise owner of the Geneva, Wheaton and La Grange uBreakiFix stores, in the news release.
Now through June 30 or while supplies last, eligible participants can make an appointment or stop in any uBreakiFix location, and must show a current ID badge at time of service.
In addition to following CDC recommendations and Illinois guidelines, all devices are sanitized when they are received and again before they are returned, according to Schwartz.
The business is also offering curbside assistance.
“We are doing everything we can to help alleviate people’s concerns, while making sure they can stay connected to their jobs, school and loved ones during this time,” Schwartz stated.
