Chrysler 200 left unlocked with keys inside stolen in Bristol Township; later recovered on I-80

Illinois State Police located a red 2016 Chrysler 200 four-door sedan that had earlier been reported stolen from a driveway in the 0-99 block of Forest Court in Bristol Township, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.

In a media release issued Friday, the sheriff's office said the vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys in it at the time it was stolen from the driveway.

State police found the vehicle abandoned in the eastbound lane of I-80 near Minooka.

The investigation into the theft is continuing, according to the sheriff's office.
