DIXON – Emily Drew, a rising senior at Dixon High School, recently was elected as one of the 2020- 21 district lieutenant governors for the Illinois-Eastern Iowa District of Key Club International.
Emily, the daughter of Tim and Rhonda Drew of Dixon, will be installed at an upcoming Key Club District Board Meeting in Bloomington.
In her new position, Drew will direct the service and leadership efforts of Key clubs in the 14 eastern counties of Iowa and at Dixon, Sterling, Faith Christian Newman, Morrison, Rochelle and Byron, high schools, and is interested in starting them in Amboy and Oregon.
She also will continue to be active with local service activities in the DHS Key Club, where she has been a member since her freshman year.
Key Club International is a student-led organization providing its members with opportunities to perform service, build character and develop leadership. All Key clubs around the world are sponsored by local Kiwanis clubs.
