Metra seeks feedback on upping Heritage Corridor service

Metra is exploring the possibility of adding service to its Heritage Corridor Line, which runs from Joliet to downtown Chicago.

The rail service is asking passengers to fill out a two-question survey about their preferences for how to expand.

Passengers can tell Metra when and where they'd like additional trains to be added to the schedule. They can also give additional comments. The survey can be viewed on Metrarail.com/heritagesurvey.

Feedback will be accepted until March 1.

The Heritage Corridor Lines has stops in Joliet, Lockport, Romeoville, Lemont, Willow Springs, Summit and Union Station in Chicago. Metra opened its Romeoville station in 2018 and has since had to expand available parking because of the demand.

The full Heritage Corridor Line schedule is available on Metra's website.
