OSWEGO TOWNSHIP – A Plano woman was arrested for violating an order of protection warrant out of Kendall County this week, according to Kendall County law enforcement.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 1:46 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 for a report of a subject sleeping in a vehicle in the parking lot of a business in the 1000 block of Route 30 in unincorporated Oswego Township. Lakeesha F. Menchaca, 44, of the 100 block of West South Street in Plano, was arrested on a warrant out of Kendall County for violating an order of protection with no bond.
According to Kendall County court documents, the petitioner of the order of protection alleged that Menchaca was verbally abusive and sent the petitioner threatening text messages. The petitioner also alleges in the court documents Menchaca brought strangers into her home that used drugs with her child in the next room and expressed other child welfare concerns.
Kendall County Judge Jody Gleason set a recognizance bond for Menchaca on Thursday, Jan. 30, meaning Menchaca was released on her signature. Gleason also ordered a GPS system to be put on Menchaca.
Menchaca previously was arrested for a separate violation of the order of protection in December 2019, according to Kendall County jail records.
Menchaca is due back in court 8:30 a.m. Feb. 6 at the Kendall County Courthouse, 807 John St. in Yorkville.
